Eros Chapter 19
Bon soir, mon ami! And to my beloved fellowman on the earth: my fondest greetings and salutations. I am Rene Descartes, a Frenchman who lived on your earth plane in about the 15th century, somewhere in the time of William Shakespeare; and welcome to our planet of Hermes. You have somewhat explored the innermost workings and the halls and various classrooms and functions of the center on Parhelion in what is related to the philosophical phases and concepts of your earth life. As I spent a lifetime in a somewhat recent period of your earth history, I am teaching some classes here in the central city of Aureleus on our beautiful planet of Hermes. Now I believe a word here about philosophy and its various respective factors would be of some value in forming a more cohesive thought pattern in your ideas and relationships to such philosophical planes of expression as have been in existence in various times in your earth planets. Philosophy itself, as you have discovered with other elements of these teaching centers such as art, does not mean an artist daubing paint on a canvas or a scientist working with a test tube but philosophy, like many other of the concepts, is very firmly interwoven with the other and numerous facets of life. We can say in a broad sense of the word that philosophy enters into everything which is about you on your earth plane and you shall in your evolutions and reincarnations to come not find the time and place where philosophy does not enter into such facets and concepts.
Yes, we might say even the bird and animal life as it exists in your planet has certain philosophical aspects. We could say that the bright-eyed little bird - who lives in the tree next to your doorway has his own philosophy which makes him an incurable optimist. He is concerned only with the worms he may gather for his food or to watch over the eggs which his mate may be sitting on in the nest. Philosophy can be said to be roughly the adhesive substance of mind which links or relates the different aspects of man's nature into such relationship as makes life in some plane or in some expression more conducive to a fuller and conclusive development.
About a thousand years ago in the land of Greece, there was ushered in at that period and time the Hellenic Age or the age of philosophy as it relates to the more modern histories of the world. In the succeeding hundreds of years, many of the great and foremost thinkers and philosophers who have existed in the period of our history gave the fullest concept and measure of their knowledge and wisdom at that particular time. We have named some of these philosophers such as Socrates, Archimedes, Plato and of course there are a host of others who are not so familiar or so well known. Most any doctor can tell you of Hippocrates, the father of medicine, or Pythagoras who is the exponent of the various forms of numerology. It was Plato who expounded the first theories of reincarnation as they relate to your more Western world ideas of such spiritual evolutions.
There is a distinct separation in all of these philosophies from such Eastern world philosophies as they were more adapted to the Western way of thinking. However, the basic spiritual concepts in either case were somewhat closely interwoven. Shortly after the resurrection of the Avatar Master Jesus, there sprang into existence the beginnings of what was to become two new and very powerful churches. From a schism of a church which started from the Christian histories of Jesus, there sprang into existence from Paul the foundations of the Greek Orthodox Church and the Roman Catholic Church. Thus it was that the history of Europe for the next many hundred years became one in which the destiny of mankind in the European countries became completely suppressed in an ecclesiastical form of tyranny. It became unlawful and punishable by death to speak or to live except according to certain preconceived lines of thought. The head of this ecclesiastical church held the key to heaven and hell for every human being under the many countries of its jurisdiction. This great ecclesiastical order also held within its hands most of the combined wealth of the countries and nations. They elected the various governmental heads and factions. They even controlled the actions of kings and queens. It was not until the time of Martin Luther that any single individual ever succeeded in breaking loose from the closed confines of this dogma tic ecclesiastical order. Others had tried this but had met with such burnings and other forms of torturous death on the wheel and through hangings and various other public executions. Yes, even Dr. Harvey, who was a friend of Bacon, met such a death because he expounded his theories of circulation of the blood. And so here was the first serious attempt at liberation of thought and purpose in the destiny of mankind.
After Martin Luther, others came along who made such similar contributions to freedom of thinking of mankind. Beside Bacon and Harvey, I played some small part in such liberation and freedom. We had others who followed in the years to come, such as John Wesley, Wycliffe and many others gave some form of philosophical and religious freedom to the masses of people of the world. However, much of this has been written in your history books and I would not wish to be accused of being repetitious or to confound and confuse you with such historical facts as have already been propounded by the learned men of your planet.
Before we actually engage in exploration of the city of Aureleus in this planet of Hermes, I would like to explain something of the theory which was expounded in reincarnation or evolution by the Grecian philosopher Plato. It was Plato, as I have said, who brought the first constructive ideology of the perfect order and sequence of conception which is called reincarnation to the minds of the intellectuals of the Western world. To those of you who have started on the pathway of truth, a little more light cast upon this subject would perhaps be in order. So let us begin by assuming that some individual is starting at the very beginning of his evolution.
We will say that there are three initial steps which must be first taken before he is ready for the fourth step or the step of consecration. These three initiations or steps relate to the carnal, to the mental and the spiritual nature of man. They have also been called the working counterpart of the triad. So it is that the individual will reincarnate many times into such planes of expressions in the physical world which will relate him to these three basic concepts of his evolution. By the time he has passed through the carnal into the mental states of consciousness, he will find himself emerged into a spiritual state of consciousness which will focus and crystallize his ideas and his ambitions into a spiritual dimension which will enable him to take the first of seven more basic evolutions or reincarnations which will bring him to the place of his first spiritual initiation.
Throughout these seven basic fundamental cycles of his evolution, he will reincarnate from time to time into the higher astral worlds of Shamballa and to such centers \ as Muse, Hermes or Venus or to such other relative planes as will be further described. It is in these centers he will learn the more basic fundamental concepts of his evolution as it relates not only to himself but to the races of mankind in general. We may assume that he has started in his evolution in the consecrated effort of music but to enable him to become a musician he must also learn of the many other different concepts which enter into the production of harmony or tones as it can be expressed in such works as symphonies or other orchestrated forms. He will therefore in these higher astral planes of learning of Shamballa, relate himself and pass through the various seven centers which are so related to his original basic concept of music as it was expressed on the planet of Muse. There he will not only go through the initiations which will enable him to travel freely about through the five different centers but he will also in time through the seven basic fundamental cycles have so evolved through the other seven that he will have formed a very basic and fundamental concept of his particular profession. Thus it is that he has become a spiritual initiate. It was such spiritual initiates as were expressed in your earth plane who were called by the names of Mendelssohn or Beethoven, Brahms, Bach, Wagner and others who have been named in the musical world. We here have named some of the inmates who have been in the philosophical world. You have also been told of many of the initiates who have existed in the scientific realms and dimensions.
These seven basic cycles will take the average person about ten thousand years to complete in a normal relationship of time as it is expressed in years on your earth planet. After this spiritual initiation, he is thus enabled to ascend into the center of Parhelion where he will again start a new cycle or evolution of seven basic cycles which will take him through the seven centers of the city of Par he lion. Each of these cycles will take anywhere from about one thousand to three thousand years to complete. After he has emerged from these seven cycles, he is then a Master. Such a normal course in the passage of time in your earth years would consume something from fifteen to twenty thousand years of normal spiritual progression. However, there have been many initiates and Masters who have consumed three or four times that amount. They have also reincarnated into the spiritual planes. It must not be assumed that anyone who reads these lines can lay down for himself any pattern whereby he can say in his curriculum or format of education in the spiritual realms that he will pass through such planes and initiations in a natural order or sequence as I have so described them. These are factors which vary considerably in the case of each individual as to how much karma he may pick up in some of these evolutions. It also may be determined by such factors which he himself will wish to express in the relationship of learning. He may also wish to reincarnate innumerable times into earth plane dimensions to further strengthen and solidify such concepts as he has already mastered. So it may be that he may consume a hundred thousand years or even a longer period of time before he comes to the point where he can be considered a Master and a teacher in one of the centers of Shamballa or to such other associated centers as may exist in other galaxies or in other universes.
So in the sum and total, it might be said that after you have spent a great many thousands of years in the physical or carnal planes of the earth or into such related earth plane consciousness which are even of a lower rate of vibration than your own earth, you may evolve into the state of consciousness where you will dedicate yourself to some spiritual purpose as it relates to the more beneficent expressions of your relationship to your fellowman. You will be fired and consumed with the idea that there is much to be learned, and much to be expressed and much to be taught. Thus it will be that you will have taken your first step of initiation. It is only at this point that you will begin your gradual climb into the spiritual realms of consciousness, into these dimensions which we are describing to you. There is no hard or fast rule which can be said to determine the actual time or sequence of the various factors of reincarnation or evolution as they are determined by the basic fundamental frequency concepts or relationships of these frequency concepts which relate to epochs of time and to such other fundamental factors as are involved in the nature of the individual himself. These factors are largely determined by his own consciousness and by his own strength of purpose and also by the wisdom which he has acquired and in its proper usage and proper function. We may say roughly that such reincarnations may occur at such regular intervals of three hundred years or six hundred years or nine hundred years and so on. Usually we find such odd figures or factors entering into such concepts. If you will study the works of Pythagoras, you will find the basic relationship of the number of twenty-one which, as I have said, it means that it is something like twenty-one thousand years before you are an initiate to the centers of Shamballa.
Now something about the planet of Hermes: We can be said to be something of a similar nature or structure to the other planets which you have visited and that as you come into the city of Aureleus proper that it is in a general way somewhat familiar or reminiscent to these other centers which you have visited. Here again there are the all-pervading Radiant Energies which you see in abundance about you. The planet itself, as you have come into its immediate vicinity, seems to throb and pulsate or to oscillate in some strange manner with a variety of colors. The overlaying or predominating color here, however, was green. This is a very soft and soothing color as it is related to the aspects of understanding in your earth plane. Here, however, the transference of energy in its particular frequency vibration spectrum assumes somewhat different proportions, as has been previously explained.
Coming down into the city proper, here we find as in other teaching centers of Shamballa that this also is indeed a vast and a tremendously enlarged place. You have nothing in your cities or civilizations on your earth plane to compare with the magnitude of these cities. They seem to stretch out in all directions around you. As we further investigate what these cities are and to their various functions, the city of Aureleus itself is said to be divided into a large number of sections, each one somewhat along the manner which was previously described to you and which you saw in the third section of Parhelion. In other words, we have a large cultural center of Hellenic or Athenian art and culture which relates to the philosophical sciences. We have also the Chinese section and here also you will find the students and teachers or initiates which were at one time incarnated into your earth plane existence in the country of China and Japan, and this center is particularly Mongolian in aspect. You will also find many other centers in which the architecture and the outlines of the buildings are very strange and unfamiliar. These sections relate to other earth -plane dimensions which as yet you have not explored or are not too familiar with. You may have at some time evolved or incarnated into several of these spiritual planes but as yet in the psychic condition as you exist, you have not retained any fundamental memory concept of these centers.
I sincerely hope that I have made this exploration and transmission sufficiently intelligible to be translated in your present earth plane language. Here in these centers we use a universal language and as you have no doubt surmised by now that it is somewhat difficult to transport the factors of concept as they exist here into the vowels and consonants with which you are familiar. However, you will return for a visitation to Aureleus and you will be guided about into some of the centers so that you may obtain somewhat of a better perspective of the many facets and working parts of this great center. Until such time, may we wish you the abundance of God's all-permeating intelligent radiating Wisdom into your innermost being.
