THE PURSE
I came upon the man who weepeth
And I asked ‘Why weepest thou’
And he answered that of this hour
He had lost his purse and with it the coins
Wherein was all his wealth and all of the things of his life
So my voice crieth out within and
I must needs chide him
For if he thinketh only of the coins
Wherein are all of the things of man’s desires
Then he loseth his Spiritual Purse
For therein are not the coins of this world
For only the things which resideth
In God’s pure world

“The Purse” is such a great lesson by the Moderator about how focusing too much on the “coins” or the products of the material world can divert your attention from the spiritual world, thus you risk losing your “Spiritual Purse.” Thank you for sharing it!
Madilyn’s analysis of “The Purse” is right on. You could also probably substitute all kinds of material and psychological losses for that money purse. For instance, if you weep over loss of your position/job, home, family, prestige, power, etc. you will be biasing negatively. If we fail to see the positive or the infinite aspects of all experiences…how does the Superconciousness grow? That Spiritual Purse will be lost and buried in a jungle of unpolarized waveforms.
Right now I’m contemplating my answer to “Can I leave behind anyone or anything that is not in my Spiritual Purse?”
