The following presentation is number 4 in a series of videos about the Mind-Body relationship and has many great concepts that help explain Dr. Norman’s teachings. We must consider as we watch it that they use different words and expressions – mostly born from Eastern terminology and some concepts are a little off base, however, students who are studying Unarius diligently, will be able to differentiate the basic concepts. This video can also create an opportunity to discuss the Science of Unarius as apposed to the Eastern philosophies. In my opinion, there are some wonderful ideas expressed!

In the video Leo Tolstoy said “Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing him or herself.” This is probably because most people don’t really see themselves as others see them, and are therefore not aware of their unfavorable characteristics.
Socrates said “Know Thyself”…which I have to admit never made a lot of sense to me before studying the works of Dr. Norman. In fact, it didn’t appear that wise at all because who else would know your inner thoughts and actions better than you?
It was the principle of ‘Reflection’ in psychology, or the ‘Mirror’ principle as Unariuns call it which changed my thinking. This principle states that what you are ’emotional’ about as a characteristic of others, is really your own characteristic unrecognized by you. Whenever I have told someone about this principle, they immediately apply it to themselves, don’t see that hidden characteristic, and feel that it’s somehow bogus. But if they apply it to anyone else, it works!
So if we want to take Leo’s advice and change ourselves constructively, what better tool is there to achieve it…and to Know Thyself!?
