I walk on this elevated plane
and hear the whisper
to call myself The Second Pedestrian.

I enter a great metropolis.
People looking up think I’m lonely,
lonely because I seem alone here;
they know I’m not a townsman;

I’m walking,
busy walking … among the masses
and now upon a suburban road,

a village lane, the winding path in Oak Forest.
I speak of my struggles and
I am relieved of menaces.

How beautiful it is to just walk in Beauty.
Up and down … here, there,
twirling, swirling, round…and then a-round
wherever I am or will be!
A gracious healing enlivens me.
I desire more forever!
